About...
Born and raised in upstate New York, Robert J. Barclay,
(the pen name for writer Robert Newcomb) has been around
horses for much of his life. As a boy, he first fell in love
with an American Quarter Horse named Duchess. He and his
father owned racehorses and spent many nights at the track
watching them run. After moving to Florida with his wife, a
neuro-psychologist, he turned his attention to writing. IF
WISHES WERE HORSES is his first mainstream novel.
