About...
Arthur Phillips was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, in
1969, and educated at Harvard. He has been a child actor, a
jazz musician, a speechwriter, a dismally failed
entrepreneur, and a five-time Jeopardy! champion. He was one
of the first clients of the Rusoff Agency at its founding in
2001.
His first novel, Prague, a national best-seller, was named a
Notable Book of the Year by The New York Times, received The
Los Angeles Times/Art Seidenbaum Award for best first novel,
and has been translated into twelve languages. His second
novel, The Egyptologist, was an international best-seller
and is published in twenty-one languages. His third novel,
Angelica, published in April of 2007, was a New York Times
Editor's Choice, a Boston Globe bestseller and on the Washington Post
Best Books of 2007 list. He also
contributed a short story to the anthology Wild East:
Stories from the Last Frontier. He lives in New York with
his wife and two sons.
